Usingthe SoundEffect
You can rein[k)rce bass tYequencies.
Press DYNAMIC BASS.
"D. BASS ON" appears in tile front pm_el
display and bass t'requencies are efli:ctively
reinl\_rced.
To turn off the sound effect
Press DYNAMIC BASS again.
You can enjoy sound effects or dialogue, as you
would in a movie theater, even at low volmne. It
is useful for watching movies at night.
Press NIGHT.
"NIGHT
ON" appears in the fi'ont panel display
and the sound effect is activated.
• This effect does not work for a Super Audio CD.
When you load a Super Audio CD during "NIGHT
ON," the sound effect turns off automatically.
• When sound is output from the center speaker, this
effect is more pronounced, as speech (movie dialog,
etc.) is easy to hear. When sound is not output from
the center speaker, or you are using Ihe headphones,
the system optimally a_{juststhe volume.

Press NIGHT again.
Usingthe Sleep Timer
You can set the system to turn off at a preset
time, so you can lhll asleep listening to music.
Yon can preset the time in 1 or lI)-mi]mtes
increments.
Press SLEEP.
Each time you press SLEEP, the minutes display
(the remaining time) changes by 10=minutes.
When you set the sleep timer, "SLEEP" flashes
in the [bont panel display.
To check
the remaining
time
Press SLEEP once.
To change
the remaining
time
Press SLEEP repeatedly to select the desired
time.
To cancel
the sleep
timer
function
Press SLEEP repeatedly until "SLEEP OFF"
appears in the front panel display.
To set the sleep
timer
using
the
system
menu

Press SYSTEM MENU.
Press €./4, repeatedly until "SLEEP"
appears in the front panel display, then
press @ or-).
Press €./4, to select a setting.
The minutes display (the remaining
time)
changes
in 1I)=minutes.
• You can select the remaining time by pressing
the number buttons. In this case, you can preset
the time in l-minute increments.
Press @.
The setting is nlude and "SLEEP"
flashes in
the front panel display.
Press SYSTEM MENU.
The system menu turns off.
