° To sew:
O Zipper teeth
® Zipper tape
® Wrong side (Bottom side) of fabric
[] Fold back the left seam allowance. Turn under the right
seam allowance to form a 1/8" (0o3cm) fold..
Place the zipper teeth O next to this fold and pin in place.
[] To sew the left side of the zipper, set the zipper foot on.
the left side of the needler Lower the zipper foot on the
top side at the bottom of the zipper so that the needle
pierces the fabric next to the fold and the zipper tape_)°
Sew through all layers next to the foldr Stop just before
the zipper foot reaches the slider on the zipper tape
about 2" (5cm) from the top of the zipper. Lower the
needle slightly into the fabric, raise the foot and remove
the basting stitches along the zipper Qpening_
[] Open the zipper to move the sliderO behind
the zipper foot.
Lower the foot and stitch the remainder of the
seam, making sure the fold is even_

[] Close the zipper and spread the fabric flat with
the right side (top side) of fabric® facing up,
® Right side (Top side) of fabric
[] Set the zipper foot on the right side of the needle.
Guide the edge of the foot along the zipper teeth
(_ and stitch through the garment and zipper
tape°
[] Stop at about 2" (5cm) from the top of the zipper.
Lower the needle slightly into the fabric, raise the
foot.
Open the zipper to move the slider (_ behind the
zipper foot°
Lower the foot and stitch the remainder of the
seam, making sure the fold is even.
