Until a new scene is chosen as described above, the
scene assigned to SP will be selected whenever
the
mode dial is rotated to SP. The default

PORTRAIT
Choose
this mode
for soft-
toned
portraits
with
natural
skin tones.
PORTRAIT ENHANCER
Choose this mode for a smooth skin effect in soft-
focus portraits.
_IL LANDSCAPE
Choose
this mode
for crisp,
clear
daylight
shots
of
buildings and landscapes. The
flash turns off automatically.
SPORT
Choose
this
mode
when
photographing
moving
subjects.
Quick
AF (1_1-) is
selected
automatically
and
priority
is given
to
faster
shutter speeds (pg. 63).
_.t NIGHT
A high
sensitivity
setting
is
selected
automatically
to
minimize
blurring
for
recording
night
and twilight
scenes.
To choose from
shutter
speeds between
l s _E×_URET,ME _"
and
8s, select
ON for the
I
E[+]_
_::_LONG
EXPOSURE
4_,.+M
option in the setup menu (pg.
86).
The shutter
speed can
then be selected by pressing the selector up and
then pressing the selector left or right to choose a
value. Press MENU/0K when settings are complete.
Use of a tripod
is recommended
to prevent
camera shake.
