Until a new scene is chosen as described above, the
scene assigned to SP will be selected whenever
the
mode dial is rotated to SP. The default
selection is _.
PORTRAIT
Choose
this mode
for soft-
toned
portraits
with
natural
skin tones.
PORTRAIT ENHANCER
Choose this mode for a smooth skin effect in soft-
focus portraits.
_IL LANDSCAPE
Choose
this mode
for crisp,
clear
daylight
shots
of
buildings and landscapes. The
flash turns off automatically.
SPORT
Choose
this
mode
when
photographing
moving
subjects.
Quick
AF (1_1-) is
selected
automatically
and
priority
is given
to
faster
shutter speeds (pg. 63).
_.t NIGHT
A high
sensitivity
setting
is
selected
automatically
to
minimize
blurring
for
recording
night
and twilight
scenes.
To choose from
shutter
speeds between
l s _E×_URET,ME _"
and
8s, select
ON for the
I
E[+]_
_::_LONG
EXPOSURE
4_,.+M
option in the setup menu (pg.
86).
The shutter
speed can
then be selected by pressing the selector up and
then pressing the selector left or right to choose a
value. Press MENU/0K when settings are complete.
Use of a tripod
is recommended
to prevent
camera shake.
