FORMAT
Format internal
memory or a
memory
card. If a memory
card is inserted in the camera,
will be displayed
in the
dialog shown at right and this
option
will
format
the
memory
card. If no
memory card is inserted, _
will be displayed and
this option will format internal memory. Press the
selector left to highlight OK and press MENU/OKto
begin formatting.

• All data--including
protected
pictures--will
be
deleted. Be sure important files have been copied to
a computer or other storage device.
• Do not open the battery cover during formatting.

AUTO POWER OFF
Choose the length of time
before the camera
turns off automatically
when no operations
are
performed. Shorter times increase battery life; if
OFF is selected, the camera must be turned off
manually.

POWER MANAGEMENT
(pg. 63). Note that
regardless
of the option
selected,
the
camera
will
not
turn
off
automatically
when connected
to a printer (pg.
51) or computer
(pg. 56) or when a slide show is
in progress (pg. 75).
Tip:Reactivating the Camera
To reactivate tile camera after it has turned off
automatically, presstile 0N/0FFbutton, or presstile []
button for about a second (pg. 12).
