values

Highly reflective subjectsor very
bright scenes (e.g., snowfields):

Scenes that are mostlysky:+1 E V
Spotlit subjects(particularly
if photographed
against

• Subjects with low reflectivity (pi ne trees or da rk-colored
foliage): -#s EV

• Exposure compensation is available in I_IMand MS
modes only.
• At settings other than _+0, a [] icon isdisplayed in the
monitor.
• Exposurecompensation is not resetwhen tile camera
is turned off; to restore normal exposure control,
choose a value of_+O.
• Exposure compensation is disabled when tile flash is
set to AUTO or _ (auto with red-eye reduction); when
the flash is set to ,$ or <_>,_, exposure compensation
is disabled if the subject is dark.
