Trouble
I -The router does not
work
• The surface of the
work piece is not
smooth after cut-
ting
Probable
Cause
-Plug is not plugged into
the power source.
*Plug is not plugged into
the Router socket.
*Switch
is in "OFF" posi-
tion.
*The carbon
brushes
have worn out com-
pletely.
*The bit is dull.
-Routing
at an inappropri-
ate bit speed.
*Bit can not be
*Bit size is inappropriate
installed
for the collet/nut
Solution
-Plug the detachable
cord
into the power source.
• Plug the detachable
cord
into the Router.
• Pull the switch to "ON"
position.
• Open the brush cap, and
replace the old brushes with
suitable new brushes.
• Change to a sharp bit.
-Refer to "Variable Speed
Selection Chart" label on
the Router Motor cap, and
select an appropriate
bit
speed.
• Use only 1/2 in. or 1/4 in.
diameter bits.
