Replacing the pad assembly
The life expectancy of the ADF pad assembly (P/N 12G1835) is approximately
100,000 scanned pages or one year. If you experience problems with papers
double-feeding through the ADF, the pad assembly may be worn out and need
to be replaced.

Open the ADF.

Slide the pad assembly to the left, and then pull it toward you. Remove the
pad assembly carefully to avoid damaging the hook spring.

Insert the new pad assembly, and then slide it to the right.

Close the ADF.
