Paper-Thickness Lever - Epson FX-286 User Manual

Never use the extreme rear "—" setting. This position is used
for head alignment and will shorten print head life if used in
normal operation.
You've completed the setup and paper loading steps and
the necessary adjustments-the FX-286 is ready to print. You can now
replace the dust cover and tilt it down into its operational position.
