Optical media drives

One of the following optical media drives is installed in the computer:
DVD-ROM, DVD-ROM&CD-R/RW and DVD Super Multi. An ATAPI interface
controller is used for CD/DVD-ROM operation. When the computer is
accessing a CD/DVD, an indicator on the drive glows.

Region codes for DVD drives and media

DVD-ROM, DVD-ROM&CD-R/RW, DVD Super Multi drives and media are
manufactured according to the specifications of six marketing regions.
When you purchase DVD-Video, make sure it matches your drive, otherwise
it will not play properly.

Writable discs

specifications for your drive to see the types of discs it can write. Use
