2 . When mounting the fixing roller
[2], take care not to scratch it by
any of the separation claws. Fur-
ther, be sure that the fixing roller
is slid to the gear side [4].

4) Prepare a length of paper (plain paper)
cut to a width of about 20 mm.
5) Put the length of paper between the ther-
mistor [6] and the fixing roller [7]; then,
check to make user that the thermistor
[6] is in firm contact with the fixing roller
[7].
