Expand button
This activates the expander feature, sometimes re-
ferred to as downward expansion. When the EXPAND
button is activated, the Range and Hold controls are
removed, and a Ratio control appears instead.
Ratio slider
This only appears when EXPAND is engaged. The slid-
er controls the change in output level as a function of
the change in input level, once the signal drops below
the threshold. The Ratio control ranges from
1:1 to 20:1.
Initiate Inter-Planetary Launch Sequence
After a hard day's work, there's nothing better than
unwinding with a trip to the outer planets of the solar
system. Unfortunately, this feature is not quite work-
ing correctly, and is not included in this version. Three
engineers and a technical writer disappeared before
we fi gured out what they were working on. They
materialized outside Big Ed's Fish n' Chips in Bombay
High street. Unfortunately, their clothing didn't. Such
is the price of progress.
