Configuring a connection to an SMTP server

On the Services tab, select Email from the Services list.

Select Parameters from the Tasks list.

Type the password and user ID used to log on to your SMTP server.

Type the Email server connection timeout in seconds. The default is 60.

Type the Email server host name / ip address and the Email server port number.

Type the Email server I/O timeout in seconds.

Click Apply.
Configuring NPA device communication
Though the default port is usually used for NPA device communication, the time-out periods between retries can be
changed to improve reliability during device discovery.

On the Services tab, select NPA from the Services list.

Select Parameters from the Tasks list.

Type a time-out period in milliseconds for each retry in sequence, separating each by a space, in the NPANT
Timeout field.

Type the port number used for NPA on your network in the Unsecure port field. The default is 9300.

Click Apply.
Configuring SNMP for discovering printers

On the Services tab, select SNMP from the Services list.

Select Parameters from the Tasks list.

Type the port number used for SNMP on your network in the Port field. The default is 161.

Type the write community string for printers on your network in the Write Community Name field.

Type a time-out period in milliseconds for each retry in sequence, separating each by a space, in the
Timeouts/Retries field.

Type the read community string for printers on your network in the Read Community Name field.

Click Apply.
