Automating tasks
Change filenames during batch-processing
Select Rename from the Batch Options list and click Add.

Specify Rename options at the bottom of the Batch Process dialog box:
Lets you replace characters in each filename with different characters that you specify, or you can
Replace With
delete characters from each filename. For example, if you have files named Temp_123.jpg, Temp_124.jpg, and
Temp_125.jpg, you can replace "Temp_12" with "Birthday," thus changing the filenames to Birthday3.jpg,
Birthday4.jpg, and Birthday5.jpg.
Lets you replace existing blanks in the filename with a character or characters you specify, or
Replace Blanks With
you can delete all blanks from each filename. For example, files named Pic nic.jpg and Slap stick.jpg can be changed
to Picnic.jpg and Slapstick.jpg, or Pic-nic.jpg and Slap-stick.jpg.
Lets you enter text to add to the beginning of the filename. For example, if you enter "night_", then the
Add Prefix
file Sunrise.gif is renamed night_Sunrise.gif when it is batch-processed.
Lets you enter text to add to the end of the filename before the filename extension. For example, if you
Add Suffix
enter "_day", then the file Sunset.gif is renamed Sunset_day.gif when it is batch-processed.
Note: For each changed filename, you can do any combination of Replace, Replace blanks, Add Prefix, and Add Suffix.
For example, you could replace "Temp" with "Party," remove all blanks, and add a prefix and a suffix, all at the same time.

Click Next to continue the batch process.
Scaling graphics during batch-processing

Select Scale from the Batch Options list and click Add.
In the Scale pop-up menu, select a scaling option:

Exports files unaltered
No Scaling
Scales images to the exact width and height you specify
Scale To Size
Makes images fit proportionally with the maximum width and height range you specify
Scale To Fit Area
Use Scale to Fit Area to convert a group of images to uniformly sized thumbnail images.
Scales images by a percentage
Scale To Percentage

(Optional) If you selected Scale To Fit Area, also select the Only Scale Documents Currently Larger Than Target
Size option.
