Working with text

Select an orientation option:
The default setting.
Horizontal Left to Right
Orients text vertically, flowing from top to bottom. Multiple lines of text separated by returns
Vertical Right to Left
are displayed as columns that flow from right to left.
To reverse text for a special effect, use the Distort tool and drag a side handle.
Set text alignment
Alignment determines the position of a paragraph of text relative to the edges of its text block. By default, horizontal
text is left-aligned.
Vertical text can be aligned to the top or bottom of a text block, centered within the text block, or fully justified between
both the top and bottom edges.
Select the text.

Click an alignment button in the Property inspector.

Set paragraph indention and spacing
To indent text, in the Property inspector, drag the Paragraph Indent pop-up slider or enter a value (in pixels) in the
text box.

To set the amount of spacing before and after paragraphs, in the Property inspector, drag the Space Preceding
Paragraph or Space After Paragraph pop-up slider, or enter a value in the text box.

Apply text effects
Smooth edges of text
Smoothing out an edge of selected text is referred to as anti-aliasing. Anti-aliasing makes the edges of the text blend
into the background so that the text is cleaner and more readable when it is large. Anti-aliasing applies to all characters
in a given text block.
