The following can be selected:
Search at dest.: Displays the search screen for facilities in the vicinity of the destina-
tion.
Search at position: Displays the search screen for facilities in the vicinity of the cur-
rent position.
Search near a city: Displays the search screen for facilities in the vicinity of the loca-
tion of your choice.
Go to homepage: Displays the homepage for the selected supplier (if available on
the map CD).
To narrow down the search, this may be
followed by a multistage query, pre-
sented in the form of lists, from which
the respective subcategories can be se-
lected (e.g. "Car/ Travel –> Car –> Car re-
pair").
Search engine operation
Turn the right rotary control to jump
from one option to the other.
The option selected will be have a
dark background.
Confirm the highlighted option to
activate the relevant function.
Turn the right hand rotary control to scroll forwards or backwards on the screen.
The following functions are available on the search screen:
l: Starts the search with the specified criteria.
d: Opens a list with distances within which the facilities required should be lo-
cated.
a: Opens the "typewriter" for entering a keyword for the search.
b: Opens the list of available brands (e.g. all the vehicle manufacturers found in
the Car repair section).
