Selecting a country
To select a different destination country, proceed as follows:
Select "Country" in the "DESTINATION INPUT" menu.
The list of countries stored on the current map CD appears.
The countries activated on your system are marked with a "R".
Select the required country from the list.
You can also enter destinations in countries which have not been activated. You
will then only receive directions until you reach the border of that country.
QXS - Quick Access (to destination addresses via road names)
This function is particularly useful for reducing the input time for unusual road names.
Select "Street" in the "DESTINATION INPUT" menu.
Select "In country" to enter a street name from this country.
Once the complete road name has been entered, only the initial letters of the cities
in which a road with that name is located will be displayed.
Then enter the required town if necessary, or select an entry from the list.
Destination input via QXS (Quick Access) is not supported by all map CDs.
House number or crossing
Select "House no." or "Crossing" in the "DESTINATION INPUT" menu.
Enter the required house number or crossing.
If there are no house numbers/ crossings available for the street entered, the system
automatically displays "Not available".
If the house number entered is not available you will be informed and the naviga-
tion system will correct your entry.
Within the database, certain ranges of house numbers are combined, the entered
house number being in such a range. In such a case, the navigation system will lead
you to the entered house number range.
