TITLE YOUR RECORDINGS
Using the Built-in Titler on the Movie you can compose your own titles, save them in a 29 page
title memory
and include each title page to highlight a recording that you are editing or shooting on the scene.
The Titler
gives you two different character sizes, a choice of the title position, and eight different title colors. Before
using
the TITLER for the first time, see page 19 for instructions on how to install the batteries.
COLOR Button
TO PREPARE FOR COMPOSING A TITLE
You will need to install the batteries in order to retain
the Title, Date & Time in the Movie memory so they
will be there when you need them for recordings. The
title keyboard is located behind the left side cover. Find
the indent at the top right corner of the cover and pull
down gently.

TURN POWER ON.
If you want to spend more than 5 minutes titling
connect the Movie to the AC Adaptor and remove
the cassette (see
"TO
MAKE TITLING EASIER" on
page 28 for details).
2.
Place the VCR/CAMERA Selector Slide in the
CAMERA position. After about 5 seconds, the title
display is ready to function.
3.
Press the DISPLAY Button to ON.
This displays a blank or title page with its page
number
in
memory.

Press the E_DIT Key to
Qf,f.
Rows of dots appear on the screen to represent the
available character locations and a flashing cursor
(a dot or character) allows you to start typing
in
the
upper left
corner.
• To erase titles displayed in the viewfinder and on that
page number in memory, press the CLEAR Key. That
page is now ready for a new title.
NOTE:
All 29 pages of memory should be cleared
before composing a title for the first time (see
"SHIFT WITH CLEAR KEYS" on page 27).
DISPLAY Button
TO COMPOSE A TITLE
Be sure to first do steps 1-4 under
"TO
PREPARE
FOR COMPOSING A TITLE".
In edit mode, a dot pattern will be added
to the
page
display. Each dot represents an available location
for a character and provides a visual reference
of
the character size for each row.
1.
Use the CURSOR Keys to move the flashing
cursor from one dot or character to another.
2.
Use the keyboard to type and display
characters at the cursor location.
Type the letters, numbers and symbols needed
to compose your
title.
Remember
to
use the SHIFT Key for"!", and
the
other symbols
(see "SHIFT
WITH KEYBOARD
KEYS" on page 27).
3.
When you finish composing, press the
MEMORY Key.
This saves your title on that page. The
next page
number with dots and flashing cursor
appears.
You can title and save up to 29
pages.
4.
After saving any titles use the PAGE
UP and
DOWN Buttons to select titles stored
in
memory.
Any new title you type on
a page will be saved
in memory when you move
to the next
page.
Use
the MEMORY Key
to select
blank
pages.
