RECORD REVIEW (INSTANT REPLAY)
BACKLIGHT BUTTON
Your Movie has a power zoom lens that gently changes the
viewing
angle. Zooming
is
possible by lightly pressing
the
"T" or
"W"
side of
the POWER ZOOM
Switch.
You can also manually zoom with
the
zoom ring which has a handy lever for steady turning
.
This switch
may be
used
to record a
clear,
sharp
image
of high speed
motion with your Movie for fine point replay in still mode, or slow mode
when watching the tape on a Panasonic TECH 3 or TECH 4 VCR
(3
or 4 head VCR). Slide switch to the right to activate while recording.
Slide repeatedly to obtain one of three speeds
1/1000th,
1/500th or
1/250th. A still or slow motion playback will then depict images without
trails or blurs (eg. like a tennis stroke). Extremely fast moving objects
should be recorded with the fastest shutter speed
(1/1
OOOsec)
,
while
the 1/500 and 1/250sec speeds should be used for slower subjects
moving which may still be fast enough to cause blurs due to high
speed movements.
The High Speed Shutter indicator flashes when the light level might
be inadequate. More light should be provided to achieve better picture
quality and color.
This function allows you to monitor the last few seconds of
recorded
material on the viewfinder screen or monitor screen by pressing the
RECORD REVIEW Button while your Movie
is
in Record/Pause mode.
When playback is finished, your Movie will return to Record/Pause
mode automatically, and the next segment will be recorded
in
synchronization with the last segment recorded.
This button may be used to adjust the light level on a recording subject
that
is
darker than the surrounding scene.
You will find this backlight adjustment useful for recording a subject
in
a shadowed area or in front of strong backlight.
Press the BACKLIGHT Button while recording a high
contrast
scene,
then release it if the lighting condition
changes.
