When you install the CMC for the first time, or upgrade from release 7.0.x, default names are enabled
for snapshots, including schedules to snapshot a volume, and for SmartClone volumes. No default
names are provided for management groups, clusters, and volumes.

Changing naming conventions

Change the elements that use a default naming convention or change the naming convention itself.
Table 2 on page 31 illustrates the default naming conventions built into the SAN/iQ software.
