Probable Cause
Both external and internal ports are
assigned to parallel port X.
IRQ address conflicts with another
device.
IRQ address conflicts with another

Graphics display controller.
Splash Screen image has errors.
Fan is not connected or it might have
malfunctioned.
Fan is not connected or it might have
malfunctioned.
Memory fan is not connected or it
might have malfunctioned.
Diskette controller circuitry or diskette

Configuration error.
Recommended Action
1.
Remove any parallel expansion cards.
2.
Clear CMOS.
3.
Reconfigure card resources and run Computer
Setup (F10 Setup).
Reset the IRQ in the BIOS Setup menu.
Reset the IRQ in the BIOS Setup menu.
1.
Reseat the graphics card (if applicable).
2.
Clear CMOS.
3.
Verify that the monitor is attached and turned on.
Install latest version of ROMPaq to restore image.

Reseat fan cable.

Reseat the fan.

Replace the fan.

Reseat chassis or rear chassis fan cable.

because there is power to the system board even when
the workstation is powered down.

Clear CMOS.
4.
Replace diskette drive.
5.
Replace the system board.
1.
Run Computer Setup (F10 Setup).
2.
Disconnect any other diskette controller devices
(tape drives).
3.
Clear CMOS.
Reinstall tape drive, or press
reconfigure without the drive.
1.
Run Computer Setup (F10 Setup).
2.
Remove expansion cards.
3.
Clear CMOS.
