To capture video based on a profile:
1. Connect your DV camcorder to your IEEE-1394 interface card.
Note: When acquiring video from an analog source, be sure that the analog
capture card you are using supports RGB or YUV capture.
2. Turn your camcorder on and set it to Play mode.
3. Run Video Capture and click Setup: Switch Capture Plug-in.
4. In Current capture plug-in, select Windows Media Format Capture
Plug-in.
5. Click Setup: Video Capture Property Settings. In the dialog box, click
Select to open Select Profile.
6. Select the profile you want to use for capturing. The generated WMV file
will depend on the profile that you pick. Click OK.
7. To begin capturing, click Record on the Control Bar, or click Capture:
Video when working in Capture mode.
8. Specify the Capture method then click Properties to define the video
and audio capture settings of the WMV file. Click OK to return to the
Capture Video dialog box.
9. Enter a file name for the video. Click Browse to locate the target
directory. You also have the option to select a different profile to generate
the WMV file.
Note: If you want to use another profile in capturing a DV video straight to WMV
format, click Setup: Video Capture Property Settings. In the dialog box, click
Select Profile to select from the list of available profiles installed in your
computer.
10.Click OK to start capturing. If you want to start capturing immediately
after pressing Record, clear Display capture options before capturing
in Preferences dialog box.
11. To stop capturing, press [
capturing under Capture Method, MediaStudio Pro automatically stops
the capturing process for you.
