4. Select your preferred Scan/Capture method from the selection in the
dialog box . You may choose one of the following:
• Scan from beginning Rewinds the tape to the beginning of the tape and
• Scan from current position Scans the tape from the current position.
• Scan from beginning and capture Scans the tape from the beginning
5. Enter a reference name for the DV tape in Reel name. You may also
enter brief information about the tape under Description.
Note: Under Scan DV tape, you can edit or modify the reel name and description
of the DV tape. If you didn't edit the name and description before closing the DV,
Vide Capture will prompt a warning message to notify you. We recommend that
you do so.
6. Press Run to execute your preferences.
7. Select the scenes you want to capture then click Capture.
Note: Scanned scenes can be combined and treated as one before capturing. To
do this, select the scenes that you want to combine and then click Join. To undo
this action, select the combined scenes and click Split.
8. After scanning, you can see the result in the list view control. There are
6 columns in the list view control when you press Thumbnail view.
They are: Check, Contents, Time Code, Rec Time, Comment, and
File Name. Pressing Normal view gives you 6 columns: Check, Mark-
in, Mark-out, Rec Time, Comment and File Name.
9. Select either: Select all, Join, Split, Play or Go To, depending on which
one you prefer to do.
• Select all selects all the scenes.
• Join combines continuous scenes to one scene.
• Play to preview the selected scene.
• Go To to control the device seeking a selected mark-in position.
10.Click Save to store the result into a destination drive in PSF file format.
