268 Connecting from a mobile device
Symantec pcAnywhere Mobile installation
To use ActiveSync to uninstall Symantec pcAnywhere Mobile from your device

Connect your device to your computer.
Microsoft ActiveSync should start automatically. If not, you must open the
Microsoft ActiveSync program.

Ensure that pcAnywhere Mobile is not running on your device.

On your computer, in the Microsoft ActiveSync window, on the Tools menu,
click Add/Remove Programs.
4 In the Add/Remove Programs window, uncheck Symantec pcAnywhere
Mobile, and then click OK.
To uninstall Symantec pcAnywhere Mobile from your device and from the ActiveSync
directory

Connect your device to your computer.
Microsoft ActiveSync should start automatically. If not, you must open the
Microsoft ActiveSync program.

Ensure that pcAnywhere Mobile is not running on your device.

On your computer, in the Microsoft ActiveSync window, on the Tools menu,
click Add/Remove Programs.

In the Add/Remove Programs window, uncheck Symantec pcAnywhere
Mobile, and then click Remove.

In the Remove Application window, click OK.
6 In the Add/Remove Programs window, click OK.
To uninstall pcAnywhere Mobile from your device without using ActiveSync

On your device, ensure that pcAnywhere Mobile is not running in memory.
For more information about stopping a program that is running, see the
documentation for your device.

On the Today screen, tap Start > Settings.

On the System tab, tap Remove Programs.

On the Remove Programs screen, under Programs in storage memory, tap
Symantec pcAnywhere Mobile.

Tap Remove.

On the Remove Program screen, tap Yes to confirm the action.
