Button Properties Dialog Window

The Button Properties dialog window is the interface that allows for establishing the characteristics of
the button. Included in this dialog are two tabs, Programming and States. It is through these two tabs that
a naming convention, button description, and other characteristics are set. The dialog is as follows:
Programming Tab
KeypadBuilder v2.1
Name - This is the name of the button as it will appear in the Page Navigation Window. By
default, KeypadBuilder names these buttons incrementally, e.g., Button 1. It is a good design
practice to give your buttons names that apply to the function they serve.
Description - This text field is for describing the button in some detail. Providing information
in this field is helpful not only to yourself but to anyone else that works with the project file at
a later date.
Page Flips - A page flip causes the button to open a different page than the one containing the
button. If a page flip has been set, the Page Flip Actions and target page are listed here. The
browse (...) launches the Button Page Flip Actions Dialog Window.
Addressing - The addressing for the selected button. Set the Port and Code for both the
Address and Channel. If a list box button is present on the selected keypad page, the checkbox
List box Navigation Button? is active.
List box Navigation Button? - If there is a list box button on a keypad page it is
imperative that a List box Navigation button is added to the page. List box buttons
only display information within the allocated viewable area via the Page
Configuration Dialog Window and require a navigation to scroll up and down the
list. If List box Navigation Button? is checked you will only be able to set the
Address Port and Code for the button. Your navigation options are as follows:
none - the list box navigation does nothing when selected.
single up - the list box navigation moves up the list by an item increment of
one.
single down - the list box navigation moves down the list by an item
increment of one.
page up - the list box navigation moves up the list by an item increment of the
total lines in the display area.
page down - the list box navigation moves down the list by an item increment
of the total lines in the display area.
goto top - the list box navigation moves up to the first item in the list.
goto bottom - the list box navigation moves down to the last item in the list.
Feedback - Select the type of feedback to associate with this button (channel, inverted
channel, always on, momentary, blink, or none).
