Gas and Electrical Requirements and
Grounding Instructions
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Gas Type Verification
Verify the type of gas supplied to the location. Ensure that
the appliance is connected to the type of gas for which it is
certified. All models are certified for use with natural gas.
Field conversion of the appliance for use with propane gas
supply will require a conversion kit (included). Make certain
your range and gas type are the same. Refer to the product
rating label which can be located as indicated on Figure 35
on Page 41.
CAUTION:
When connecting the unit to propane gas, make
certain the propane gas tank is equipped with its
own high-pressure regulator in addition to the
pressure regulator supplied with the range. The
maximum gas pressure to this appliance
must not exceed 14.0 inches water column
(34.9 mb) from the propane gas tank to the
pressure regulator.
IMPORTANT:
All ranges must be installed with a backguard. For island
installations and other installations with more than 12"
(305mm)
minimum
horizontal
combustible materials and the back edge of the range, a
Flush Island Trim has been supplied with all models. A
®
THERMADOR
Low Back or High Shelf must be
purchased separately and utilized when there is less than a
12" (305mm) horizontal clearance.
Before using the range, ensure that it is equipped with a
proper backguard. Refer to the Installation Manual
accompanying this appliance for more information.
WARNING:
To avoid possible burn or fire hazard, a
backguard designed specifically for this range
must be installed whenever the range is used.

240/208 volts, 60 Hz., 40 Amp electrical circuit required.
48" Dual-Fuel Models:
240/208 volts, 60 Hz., 50 Amp electrical circuit required.
CAUTION:
The High Shelf can get very hot!
DO NOT place the following items on top of the
High Shelf:
plastics or containers that can melt
flammable items
a total load over 30 pounds (13.6kg).
WARNING:
ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL
PLUG FROM THE WALL RECEPTACLE
BEFORE SERVICING THIS UNIT.
It is recommended that a dedicated circuit servicing this
appliance be provided.
The use of gas cooking appliances results in the production
of heat and moisture.
CAUTION:
FOR PERSONAL SAFETY, THIS APPLIANCE
MUST BE CONNECTED TO A PROPERLY
GROUNDED AND POLARIZED ELECTRICAL
POWER SUPPLY.

user, to have this appliance connected to the electrical
power supply by a qualified electrician, in accordance with
the National Electrical Code and/or applicable local codes
