About Your System
Causes
The memory configuration

(for example, a failed

interleaving cannot be
supported. The system will
run but with reduced
functionality.
Remote Configuration
request has been detected
and is being processed.
Remote BIOS update
attempt failed.
NVRAM_CLR jumper is
installed. CMOS has been
cleared.
Microprocessors with
different cache sizes are
installed.
Faulty or improperly installed
memory modules.
Corrective Actions
Ensure that the memory
modules are installed in a
configuration that supports
node interleaving. Check
other system messages for
additional information for
possible causes. For memory
configuration information,
see "General Memory
Module Installation
Guidelines" on page 114. If
the problem persists, see
"Troubleshooting System
Memory" on page 150.
Wait until the process is
complete.
Retry the BIOS update. If
problem persists, see
"Getting Help" on page 175.
Remove NVRAM_CLR
jumper. See Figure 6-1 for
jumper location.
Ensure that all
microprocessors have the
same cache size and that
they are properly installed.
See "Processors" on page 120.
See "Troubleshooting System
Memory" on page 150.
