Carefully read p. 33 (MAINTENANCE).
Remove the inspection cover, see p. 45
(REMOVING THE INSPECTION COV-
ER).
Remove the footboard mat (1).
Unscrew and remove the two screws
(2).
Unscrew and remove the three screws
(3).

Proceed with care.
Do not damage the tangs and/or
the relevant seats.
Slightly raise the rear part of the foot-
board (4) and withdraw it from the base
of the inner shield.

Do not force the lower shield,
since it is fixed to the frame by
means of two front screws only.

Upon reassembly, introduce first
the central tangs and then the
side tangs.

Before introducing the three
screws (3), make sure that the
hole on the footboard and the screw
seat are aligned.

Remove the inspection cover, see p. 45
(REMOVING THE INSPECTION COV-
ER).
Remove the fuse-carrier block (6) and
the start relay block (7) from the battery
box (5).

Handle the painted components
with care and avoid scraping or
damaging them.
Unscrew and remove the two nuts (8).

Proceed with care. To avoid dan-
gerous leakages of battery fluid,
do not incline the battery box ex-
cessively.
Extract the battery box (together with the
battery) and put it on the footboard.
