Effect/Setting method
When the
button is pressed, the flash is activated and the
picture will be recorded. Use the built-in flash in order to record
still pictures in dark places.
Select the menu. (F 22)
[RECORD SETUP]
[FLASH]
This function's default setting is [AUTO].
When the
button is pressed halfway, the flash indicator will
appear in the bottom left corner of the screen.

When [AUTO] is set, the ambient brightness is automatically
detected, and the flash will activate only when necessary. (If the
flash is not necessary, the [`A] indicator will not appear when the
button is pressed halfway.)
To adjust the brightness of the flash
Select the menu. (F 22)

Much brighter
Reduces the phenomena where human eyes become red from
flashes.

You can add a shutter sound when recording still pictures.

This function's default setting is [ON].
You can record bright pictures even in dark places by slowing
the shutter speed.
The intelligent auto mode is set to [OFF]. (F 45)

[ADVANCED]
[AUTO SLOW SHTR]
The shutter speed is adjusted between 1/25 and 1/250 depending
on the surrounding brightness. (When adjusting the shutter speed
manually, it can be adjusted between 1/25 and 1/8000.)
If [AUTO SLOW SHTR] is set to [OFF], then the shutter speed will
be set between 1/50 and 1/250. (When adjusting the shutter
speed manually, it can be adjusted between 1/50 and 1/8000.)
