If a problem arises
Possible cause
( The image not focused on is played back.
The subject that are difficult to focus on
was shot.
"FLASH MODE" is set to "$" (flash
off) in insufficient light condition
(camera movement occurred).
The camera moved when the shutter
button was pressed (camera movement
occurred).
The subject was too close.
There was water on the lens or the lens
was dirty.

Corrective action
Use focus lock to obtain an accurate
focus.
Set "FLASH MODE" to other than
"$." The shutter speed is slow when
you shoot in flash- off mode. Secure the
camera or hold the camera firmly.
Hold the camera correctly, and press
the shutter button gently.
As the shutter speed is slower, camera
movement more likely to occur. When
you take a night scene picture or shoot
in flash-off mode, secure the camera or
hold the camera firmly.
If the distance between the lens and
subject is less than 30 cm (11.9",) shoot
in super macro mode.
Wipe the water and dirt off the lens.
Use a commercially available blower
brush and then wipe with a supplied
lens cleaner to remove dust. Mold may
form on the lens surface if the lens is
left dirty.
