4 To change settings for monitoring of the log buffers on WX switches:
a Select Enable log monitoring. This option is disabled by default.
b To change the number of minutes between queries of the WX
switches' log buffers, change the value in the Polling interval box. You
can specify from 1 to 60 minutes. The default is 5 minutes.
c To change the maximum number of log entries the monitoring service
stores for an individual WX switch, change the value in the entries per
WX box. You can specify from 1000 to 5000 entries, in increments of
100. The default is 1000 entries.
5 To change settings for monitoring of client sessions, perform the
following steps. These options control data sent to the Client Monitor
window of the Monitor tab.
a Select Enable client session collection. This option is disabled by
default.
The Polling Interval is 5 minutes and cannot be changed.
b To enable the monitoring service to track client connection failures,
select Collect client connection failure traps.
This option enables the monitoring service to collect data from the
following traps generated by monitored WX switches:
ClientAssociationFailure, ClientAuthenticationFailure,
ClientAuthorizationFailure, and ClientDot1xFailure. This option is
disabled by default.
c To enable the monitoring service to track client connections and keep
roaming histories for clients, select Collect client connection &
roaming traps.
This option enables the monitoring service to collect data from the
following traps generated by monitored WX switches:
ClientAuthorization, ClientDeAssociation, and ClientRoaming. This
option is disabled by default.
6 To change settings for monitoring of RF information, perform the
following steps. These options control data sent to the RF Monitor and RF
Trends windows of the Monitor tab.
a Select Enable RF trending. This option is disabled by default.
The Polling Interval is 5 minutes and cannot be changed.
