OPERATIONS
FOR REPEAT PLAYBACK
Single track repeat mode:
The
track
currently
playing will repeat (Single track
repeat),
All discs repeat mode:
® During normai playback, ali tracks on all discs in the
magazine
will be played back repeatedly (all discs
repeat}.
@ During programmed playback, the tracks programmed
will be played
back
repeatedly in the order pro-
grammed (programmed repeat).
@ in the case of random play mode, after all the tracks
have been played, random play will start again {ran-
dom repeat).
1. With the player in the playback or stop mode,
press REPEAT button.
When pressed once, the player will enter the single
track repeat mode. The [(1}® REPEAT]
indicator will
light. If the button is pressed again, all tracks on all
disc in magazine will be repeated. The [REPEAT] indi-
cator will light.
2. When the last track has been played back, play-
back will begin again from the first track.
Playback will be repeated until repeat playback is can-
celled.
® If you wish to perform repeat playback of an en-
tire single disc (one-disc repeat}, program all the
tracks on the disc {see page 38), then set the unit
to the program repeat playback made,
@ When RANDOM PLAY button is ON during normal
repeat playback (repeat playback of all disc), af-
ter all the tracks on all disc are played once at ran-
dom,
the same
tracks will be played again at
random (random repeat is performed repeatedly).
@ During use of the HI-LITE SCAN function, single-
track repeat cannot be performed.
TO CANCEL THE REPEAT MODE
Press REPEAT button until [REPEAT] indicator goes off:
The player will revert to the normal {or programmed) play-
back mode.
Press stop button ( @ }: Playback will stop and the repeat
mode will be cancelled simultaneously.
RANDOM PLAYBACK

Each track of all the discs set in the magazine will be
played at random.
After all the tracks have been
played, the player will enter stop mode.
1. Press RANDOM
PLAY button.
Random playback will begin.
2. Pressing RANDOM PLAY button once more will
cause the player to select a track at random for
playback.
TO CANCEL RANDOM PLAYBACK
OPERATION
Press stop button { #@ }: Playback will stop and random
playback operation will be cancelled simultaneously.

Performing operations for playback from a direct disc
search will also cancel random playback.
HI-LITE SCAN (Remote control unit only)
Use the remote control unit to perform this function,
Set the remote control unit's TUNER/CD select switch
to CD before performing this operation.
Using this feature will cause
10 seconds of each track
on the disc to be played back in order.
®
Press HI-LITE SCAN button once to play 10 seconds
of one track on each disc at a point about 1 minute
after the track beginning.
®@ During disc scan (IDISC SCAN] indicator blinks), HI-
LITE SCAN will be performed for the first track only,
on each of discs 1~6.
®
Press twice to play 10 seconds of every track on each
disc at a point about
1 minute
after the track be-
ginning.
® During track scan (ISCAN} indicator blinks), HI-LITE
SCAN will be performed for all tracks on each of the
discs 1~—6.
® To change the playback point, press HI-LITE SCAN
button at the desired point whilst in playback mode,
and
10 seconds
of each subsequent
track will be
played back from the chosen point.
®@ Each press of the button causes the function to change
alternately as follows:
Cc DISC SCAN > TRACK SCAN
NOTES:

To stop the HI-LITE SCAN mode in the middle, press
stop button { W). Ordinary playback mode will be re-
sumed by pressing Play/Pause button (> /4l).

When the play time of the track is 1 minute or is short-
er than the specitied time, the 10-second passage will
be played from the beginning of the track. For tracks
that are less than 10 seconds in length, the entire track
will be played.
®
Programming of only desired tracks is possible during
track HI-LITE SCAN playback, see "DIRECT PROGRAM".
