1. Load a magazin in the CD player.
2. Press the EDIT button one time.
The CD player calculates the selection length after
three seconds. The shortest tape length that can con-
tain all selections is selected and displayed.
One of the following tape lengths will be selected and
displayed.
46 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes
3. Prepare a cassette tape of the proper length, and
begin computer program recording by following
steps 2, 3, 4, 8 on 'COMPU
PGM".

DYNAMIC SURROUND
What is Dynamic sound ?
This unit is equipped with a DSP (Digitak Signal Proces-
sor) surround function which reproduces various sound
fields only in the front left and right speakers, and a DOL-
BY PRO LOGIC surround function, which produces an
acoustic effect similar to a movie theater. ft also contains
@ new sound field mode, ''Dynamic Theater' which con-
tains DSP surround steering logic (directional emphasis
circuits).
Sound is aiso output from the center speaker in the Dy-
namic Theater mode.
What is sound field control?
With this function you can choose one of the six sound
fields available, and enjoy the sensation of listening to
music in different environments.
NOTE:
You can achieve the effect of sound field control by us-
ing the front speakers alone, so surround speakers are
not
required.
If surround
speakers
are
connected,
however, the effect wil! be more pronounced.

@® Disco:
Creates the sensation of being in a disco,
with a lot of reverberation.
@ CHURCH:
Gives you the impression
of being in a
large church with a pipe organ.
@ ARENA: _ Gives you the sound field of a live rock or
pop concert.
