BASIC OPERATIONS
RECORDING ONTO A CASSETTE TAPE

OPEN/CLOSE
Recording can be performed on Deck II only. Recording
is not possible on Deck J. You can make a recording of
a source which has been processed with the sound field
processor.
1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button { 4 ), and load
the tape for recording into Deck Il.

Check to see that the accidental erasure preven-
tion tabs are not broken off.
@ Wind the tape forward past the leader to the start
of the magnetic coated portion.

Set the cassette in the cassette tray with the ex-
posed tape pointing down. When the OPEN/CLOSE
button is pressed again, the cassette tray will close.
2. Select the REV MODE switch.

3. Set the DOLBY NR switch to the desired po-
sition.
® A tape which has been recorded using the DOLBY
NR system must be played back with the same
type.
