Framing depth measurement is noted with the side nailing strips set as

ed back up to 3-1/8" to allow for varying thicknesses in non-combustible
material & wall finishes.
Important: The minimum framing dimensions given for height, width and
depth must be maintained even if using non combustible material.
Dangerous operating conditions will occur if minimum framing dimen-
sions are not adhered to.
