17. Using a volt/ohmmeter, check for the presence of about 12 VDC battery voltage, at the following
locations on the weld control board. See Figures F.6 and F.7. See Wiring Diagram.
(-) Lead 5P (J2-3) to (+) Lead 210B (J2-7)
(-) Lead 5P (J2-3) to (+) Lead 224A (J2-9)
(-) Lead 5P (J2-3) to (+) Lead 211 (J2-8) – (voltage present only when start button is activated)
NOTE: Lead #210B supplies 12 VDC battery voltage to the weld control board whenever the
RUN/STOP switch is in the "RUN" position.
Lead #200N supplies DC flashing voltage from the weld control board to the positive slip ring
through the R3 resistor.
18. If battery voltage is present at all of the above points; check the top grounding stud on inside left
case and lead #5H, also check leads #200, #200N and the 25 ohms flashing resistor, R3. Make sure
all terminals are crimped tightly to the flex leads and free of corrosion.
19. Place the RUN/STOP switch into the "STOP" position.
20. Connect lead 211 to the starter. See Wiring Diagram.
