Menu choices
Initial settings are indicated in bold print.
Menu option
Set this option to
TIMER REC
Video to select the 8 mm deck for timer recording.
VHS to select the VHS deck for timer recording.
NICAM
ON to listen to and record stereo/bilingual programmes that are
broadcast on the NICAM system and recorded.
OFF when you do not wish to use the NICAM system and when
recording an 8 mm standard sound.

DIMMER
ON to dim the VCR display.
OFF to brighten it.
RF MODULATOR
ON if you have connected the VCR to your TV using only the aerial
cable.
OFF if you have connected the VCR to your TV using the EURO-AV,S
or AV cable.
LINE 1 VIDEOOQUT
NORM when using a EURO-AV cable.
S when using a EURO-AV cable connected to a TV with anS
connection.
Video8 AUDIO LINE _ ST to listen to and record stereo sound using and the LINE IN jacks
IN
when selected the 8 mm deck.
BIL to listen to and record bilingual programmes using the LINE IN
jack when selected the 8 mm deck.
VHS AUDIO MIX
ON to listen to the hi-fi and normal audio tracks at the same time when
selected the VHS deck. The AUDIO MONITOR button becomes
inoperable.
OFF to select the sound using the AUDIO MONITOR button when
selected the VHS deck.
VHS OPC
ON to activate the OPC (Optimum Picture Control) when selected the
VHS deck.
OFF to deactivate it.
