    Step 4 Tuning your TV to the VCR If you have connected your VCR to the TV using the EURO-AV cable, skip this step. Make sure to match the COMMAND MODE of the VCR and the remote commander. This VCR and remote commander are set to VTR3 at the factory.

To record from a decoder, turn it on. Press either Video8 or VHS for the deck you want to use. Insert a VHS tape with its safety tab in place or an 8 mm tape with the safety switch slid back so that the red portion does not show.
