Tips
¢ You can select a video source from the LINE-1 (TV) or LINE-3 IN connector, or the
LINE-2 IN VIDEO/AUDIO L/R jacks using INPUT SELECT.
The display appears on the TV screen indicating information about the tape, but the
information won't be recorded on the tape.
To select programme positions, you can also use the programme number buttons on
the remote commander. For two-digit numbers, press the -/-- (ten's digit) button
followed by the number buttons.
If you don't want to watch TV while recording, you can turn off the TV. When
using a decoder, make sure to leave it on.
Notes
¢ If you have connected your TV to your VCR using the EURO-AV cable, make sure
to set the LINE 1 VIDEO OUT option in the SET UP MENU to NORM.
However, if your TV has a S input setting, then set the LINE 1 VIDEO OUT option
in the SET UP MENU to S.
¢ You cannot record TV programmes using both the 8 mm deck and the VHS deck at
the same time.
You cannot record a video source from the one input connector using both the
8 mm deck and the VHS deck at the same time.
¢ If you insert a VHS tape with its safety tab removed or an 8mm tape with the safety
switch slid to show the red portion, and press @ REC, the VCR automatically ejects
the tape. To record, cover the tab hole of the VHS tape or slide the switch of the 8
mm tape so that the red portion is not visible.
¢ When the tape comes to an end, the VCR automatically rewinds the tape to the
beginning.
