.. Make sure that the rear spo iler is retracted

.. Pull the engine compa rtment lid dow n until
the pressure from the struts is reduced .
.. Press the engine compartment l id closed

- W hen you close the engine compartment
lid, check it to make sure the safety catch
has prope rly engaged . The engine com-
partment lid should be flush w ith t he
sur rounding vehicle body parts .
- If you notice while driv ing t hat the en-
gine compartmen t lid is not secured
properly, sto p at once and close it .
