RECORDING
Recording mute:
if the recording mute (O) button is pressed and held, the deck
will create a non-recorded blank section on the tape of more
then'4 seconds for-as long as the button is held pressed.
The deck will enter record-standby mode when the button is re-
leased. ;
The deck will not record on cassette tapes from which the
erasure prevention tabs have been removed:
Check to see if the erasure prevention tab on the side of the tape
to be recorded on 'is still intact: If both sides of the tape are to be
recorded on, check to: make sure' that' both erastire' prevention
tabs are intact. (> page 6)
To erase the recorded contents
1. Set the REC LEVEL conirol to the "0" position.
2., Press the recording (@) button.
3: Press the play {> or <) button or pause (if) bution.
PLAYBACK
1. Press the POWER switch.
2. Place the cassettes on the tray.
Press the OPEN/CLOSE button and the tray will automatically
slide out. Insert the cassette so that the "A" side is on the left
and the exposed (tape) side is facing down. The tray can hold up
to 6 cassettes at once.
3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the tray.
4, Press one of the CASSETTE NUMBER butions to load the
cassette for playback.
5, Select the tape transport mode with the REVERSE MODE
switch.
To repeatedly play both sides of the tape, set the switch to the
"CD" position. During playback of the cassette you wish to hear,
both sides of the tape are played back continuously until 16
sides have been played back.To play only one side of the tape,
set the switch to the "=" position.
When set to-relay playback, the CD (repeat) mode turns into the
two-way (D>)-mede. After both sides of .a cassette are: Flaved
back, playback continues.on-the next cassette.
G. Select the Dolby noise reduction systems with the DOLBY
NR switch.
If.the.tape.to be played was recorded with Dolby. NR off. set the
DOLBY. NR-switch to the OFF. position. If the tape was recorded
with.Dol by B-type or. C-type noise reduction, set the DOLBY NR
switch accordingly to B or C.

ENREGISTREMENT
Sourdine a l'enregistrement:
Pour créer un espace vierge de plus de 4 secondes, laisser le
doigt sur la touche sourdine a |'enregistrement (OQ). La durée de
Vespace vierge créé est égale au temps: pendant lequel cette
touche est-appuyée. Dés que Ja touche est relachée, le lecteur
revient en. mode d'attente d'enregistrement.
Le lecteur n'enregistre pas sur les cassettes dont les languettes
anti-effacement ont été enlevées.
Vérifier. que les. cassettes. a..enregistrer ont. encore leurs
languettes anti-effacement. Si!' enregistrement doit étre effectué
des deux cétés de la bande, vérifier que les deux languettes sont
bien en place. (> page 6)
Pour effacer un enregistrement
'|. Metire la commande REC LEVEL en position "0".
2. Appuyer sur la touche d'enregistrement (@).
3. Appuyer sur la touche marche (> ou <d) ou sur la touche
pause {i).

LECTURE
1. Appuyer sur l'interrupteur d'alimentation POWER.
2. Placer les cassettes sur le plateau..
Appuyer sur fa touche OPEN/CLOSE pour ouvrir automatique-
ment le compartiment a cassettes. Insérer les cassettes de telle
sorte que leur face "A" se trouve sur la gauche et la partie appa-
rente de la bande en bas. Le plateau accepte jusqu'a 6 cassettes
en méme temps. Se ,
3. Appuyer sur la touche Ore OEGPe pour tereringe le
compartiment a cassettes.
4, Appuyer sur l'une des touches de numeérotation des ca-
sseties (CASSETTE NUMBER) pour charger la cassette a lire.
5. Choisir le mode de défilement de la bande a l'aide de la
commande de mode d'inversion (REVERSE MODE).
Pour lire de maniére répétitive une cassette des duex cétés,
mettre cette commande en position "C)". La lecture des deux
faces de la cassette chagée se pousuit sans interruption jusqu' a
lecture de 16 faces. Pour lire la cassette que d'un seul cdté,
mettre la commande en position "2.
Lorsque le. mode.de lecture.avec relais a été.activé, ie. mode.de
répétition (CD) passe au mode de lecture des deux cétés (2).
Une fois que les deux cétés d'une cassette on été lus, la lecture
continue sur la cassette suivante.
§. Choisir le systame de réduction de bruit Dolby a l'aide dela
commande DOLBY NR. _
Si la cassette a été enregistrée sans Dolby NR, mettre la
commande DOLBY NR' en position OFF. Si la cassette a été
enregistrée en réduction de bruit Dolby type B ou type C, régler
la commande DOLBY NR en conséquence.
