1 Drain Fuel Tank Sump --- daily
1. Park the machine on a level surface with the upperstruc-
ture rotated 90° for easier access.
2. Lower the bucket to the ground.
3. Turn the auto-idle off.
IMPORTANT: The turbocharger may be damaged if the en-
gine is not properly shut down.
4. Run the engine at slow idle speed without load for five
minutes.
5. Turn the key switch OFF. Remove the key from the key
switch.
6. Pull the pilot control shut-off lever to the LOCK position.
NOTE: The plug is installed in the drain cock to prevent van-
dalism.
7. Remove plug (2) and open drain cock (1) for several sec-
onds to drain water and sediment. Close the drain cock.
8. Install and tighten the plug.
