6. Use the previously removed socket-head
screws, washers, and spacers to secure the
reel-drive assembly to the cutting-unit side plate
(Figure 38).
Ensure that the reel-drive-assembly driveshaft is
installed to the transmission-driveshaft coupler
(Figure 38).

1. Move the kickstand to the C
position.
2. Align the cutting unit to the frame.
3. Move the suspension latches down to secure
the cutting unit to the machine

4. Move the collar out of the
transmission-coupler-shaft groove and insert
the hex tube into the cutting-unit coupler shaft
(Figure 39).
5. Install the grass basket.
Removing the Cutting Unit
(Models 04835 and 04845)
1. Move the kickstand to the C
position.
2. Remove the grass basket (if equipped).
3. Remove the reel-drive assembly from the cutting
unit (Figure 40) and retain the hardware.
