Changing the mode settings

REC LAMP <ON/OFF>
• Normally select ON.
• Select OFF when you do not want the camera
recording/battery lamp at the front of the unit
to light up.
CLOCK SET
Select this item to reset the date or time.
DEMO MODE <STBY&ON/OFF>
• Select STBY&ON to glance over the function of
camcorder.
• Select OFF not to display demonstration.
Notes on DEMO MODE
• DEMO MODE is set to STBY (Standby) at
the factory and the demonstration starts
about 10 minutes after you set the POWER
switch to CAMERA without inserting a
cassette.
Note that you cannot select STBY of DEMO
MODE in the menu system.
• You cannot select DEMO MODE when a
cassette is inserted in the camcorder.
• If you insert a cassette during the
demonstration, the demonstration stops.
You can start recording as usual. DEMO
MODE automatically returns to STBY.
To look at the demonstration at once
Eject the cassette, if inserted. Select ON of
DEMO MODE and erase the menu display.
The demonstration will begin.
When you turn off the camcorder once,
DEMO MODE automatically returns to STBY.
Items for VTR mode only
TITLE DSPL <ON/OFF>
• Select ON to display the title you have chosen.
• Select OFF not to display the title.
TAPE TITLE
Select this item to label the cassette tape. See page
71 for details.
REC LAMP <ON/OFF>
• Normalmente, seleccione ON.
• Seleccione OFF si no desea que se ilumine el
indicador de pilas/grabaeion con la Camara de
la parte frontal de la unidad.
CLOCK SET
Seleccione este elemento para volver a ajustar la
fecha o la hora.

Notas sobre el modo DEMO MODE
• El ajuste de fabrica de DEMO MODE es
STBY (espera) y la demostracion se inicia
aproximadamente 10 minutos despues de
ajustar el interruptor POWER en CAMERA
sin insertar un videocassette.
Observe que no es posible seleccionar STBY
de DEMO MODE en el sistema de menus.
• No es posible seleccionar DEMO MODE si
ha insertado un videocassette en la
videocamara.
• Si inserta un videocassette durante la
demostracion, esta se detendra. Puede
iniciar la grabacion con normalidad. El
modo DEMO MODE se ajustara
automaticamente en STBY.
Para ver la demostracion inmediatamente
Si hay un videocassette insertado, expulselo.
Seleccione ON de DEMO MODE y elimine la
pantalla de menu. La demostracion se
iniciara.
A1 apagar la videocamara, el modo DEMO
MODE se ajusta automaticamente en STBY.
Elementos del modo VTR solamente
TITLE DSPL <ON/OFF>
• Seleccione ON para mostrar el titulo elegido.
• Seleccione OFF si no desea mostrar el tftulo.
TAPE TITLE
Seleccione este elemento para asignar un nombre
a la cinta. Consulte la pagina 71 para mas
information.
