QR codes for rescue card

The QR code stickers are affixed to the B-pillar on
the driver's and front passenger side. In the event
of an accident, emergency services can use the
QR code to quickly determine the corresponding
rescue card for your vehicle. The current rescue
card contains the most important information
about your vehicle in a compact form, e.g. the
routing of the electric lines.

Data storage

Data processing in the vehicle
Electronic control units
Electronic control units are installed in your vehi-
cle. Control units process data they receive from
vehicle sensors, forexample, generate themselves
or exchange between themselves. Some control
units are required for the safe operation of your
vehicle. For example, some assist you when driv-
ing, suchas driver assistance systems, while others
enable functions serving comfort or infotainment.
The following provides you with general informa-
tion regarding data processing in the vehicle. Addi-
tional information regarding which data in your
vehicle is collected, saved and transmitted to third
parties and for what purpose can be found in the
information directly related to the functional char-
acteristics in question in the respective Operator's
Manual. This information is available both online
and digitally, depending on the vehicle's equip-
ment.
