Each time you press EQ SPACE/FLAT,

EQ and SPACE modes will be switched
as follows.
HALL—CLEAR->HEAVY-—> FLAT

Use to impart a deep bass and spread which will make you feel as if
'you were in a large concert hall.
[2] CLEAR
Use to clarify the treble range of jazz, etc.
[3] HEAVY
Use to add "punch" to rock and other music.
¢You cannot record with HALL, CLEAR or HEAVY mode.
@"HALL", "CLEAR" and "HEAVY" indicator light off while recording,
and light up when the recording finishes.
To listen with augmented bass (V. BASS)
Press V. BASS.
V.BASS
Each time you press the button, the dis-
play will change as follows:
V. BASS 1-+V. BASS 2->OFF

V. BASS 1.
You cannot record with the V. BASS effect.
"V. BASS" effect added only to the sound heard through the speakers
or headphones.
Amplifier
To obtain even higher quality sound
from a CD or other source
Press SOURCE DIRECT to ON.
SOURCE
The SOURCE
DIRECT indicator on the
DIRECT
volume control lights up.
The sound signal will be transmitted with-
out passing through the graphic equalizer
and other circuits, thus providing even
higher quality sound.
To cancel the SOURCE DIRECT mode,
press the button again.
The SOURCE
DIRECT
indicator lights
off, and the FLAT mode is selected.
When this button is set to the "ON" position, any tonal effect (HALL,
CLEAR, HEAVY, V. BASS) and KARAOKE mode will be cancelled.
e@When you connect the microphone;

is ON,
the SOURCE
DIRECT mode will be cancelled and the FLAT mode is selected.
® You cannot switch on the SOURCE DIRECT mode.
