DECK 1/2
The recording level and the noise reduction effect of the original
(playback) tape will be recorded on the new tape.
The leader tapes in both decks must be wound up beforehand.
(See page 24.)
Press
4 OPEN/CLOSE on the
both decks, and then insert the
tapes.
For playback:
Into deck 1
For recording: Into deck 2
The illustration shows an example when
you start recording from the beginning of
the tape side A (front side) with the ">"
playback button.
Insert the cassette tape until it touches
the back of the compartment.
Press

OPEN/CLOSE
to
close each deck's holder.
Press REV MODE to select the
reverse mode.

Set the tape direction to ">"
of deck 1 and 2.
Press DECK 1/2 and confirm both deck's
tape directions are "D>".
To change the tape direction, first press

To record on the reverse side, set deck 2
to "<1",

speed (about 2.0 times normal

While recording, both deck 1 and 2 indi-
cators light up. Tape direction indicator
shows deck 2 direction.
Either of deck 1 or deck 2 stops, the other
deck also stops.
To stop recording:
Press O.
Both decks will stop.
To enjoy another source while recording:
Start playing the other sound source.
You can change the volume level and tone quality without affecting
the recording.
Some TV sets generate noise that could be recorded during tape-
to-tape recording. To prevent the possibility of this, do not use this
system close to a TV set.
Do not press ALBUM and J.FIT during tape-to-tape recording. It
changes the tape-to-tape recording to the CD edit recording mode.
For your reference:
For optimum results, use an editing tape of the same or higher quality
than the playback tape.
