Battery Indicator
Use the Battery Indicator to Check on the Battery Status

Unable to recharge due to violation of temperature limits

* When ihe AC adapter is connected
Recharging is temporarily stopped when the DVD drive is being accessed In this case,
the battery indicator goes off temporarily
In addition, recharging is temporanly discontinued when [Auto insert notification] (CD-
ROM auto play function) is enabled

Getting a detailed reading
A detailed percentage reading of the battery power
remaining can be obtained on the Status LCD

• The remaining power indicator flashes when the battery is low
• The borders of the indicator (CTJ) flashes on and off if no battery pack is mounted
• An error code is displayed if a battery malfunction occurs

• When the battery indicator remains red (or a 99% reading is displayed) for a long
period of time, the actual remaining battery level and the displayed level in all
likelihood differ Should this occur, charge the battery until the indicator is green,
then completely discharge the battery (Disconnect the AC adapter, turn the com¬
puter ON and let the power run down to 0% on the Status LCD )
When the Remaining Battery Charge Becomes Low
Following that,
# Plug in the AC adapter, and fully charge your battery
• Use a spare battery if you have one
• If you have neither the adapter nor an extra battery, save your data and power off your
computer
# If the hibernation function is set
