Playing Full Motion Video
Adjusting the Configuration
Select [Start] -[Settings] - [Control panel] - [S3 Video Color Control].
The setting's window will be displayed.
Perform image adjustment while viewing the play screen.
Adjustments cannot be made When the play screen is not displayed.
The following restrictions apply during play
• Do not use the player with the standby, suspend, or hibernation function.
• While DVD-Video (or MPEG file) is being played, the speed at which other applications
are executed or the speed at which the keys are input on the keyboard may be reduced.
• If you run other applications during play the image or sound may be disrupted.
• ''MS-DOS Prompt" cannot be used during DVD-Video (or MPEG file) playback. Abnor¬
mal operation may occur if it is used.
• Playback may temporarily stop (a few seconds) when the LCD is opened and closed.
• Do not change the display mode during playback.
• When the player start up, the video mode is automatically selected to enable the FMV
Pack2. For this reason, the screen may temporarily flicker during startup.
• DVD-Video purchased in other countries may not be viewable.
• DVD-Video discs will not trigger the "Auto insert notification" function after being set on
the tray.
• When using the FMV Pack2, it is not possible to simultaneously play DVD-Video and an
MPEG file, or multiple MPEG files.
• No sound is produced for the conditions of Pause, Fast Forward, Fast Reverse, Slow
Forward and Slow Reverse.
• Slow Reverse will not display all frames.
• Changing the desktop area of Windows will close the player.
• For some scenes, the operation of basic functions (e.g., play/stop) will not be allowed, the
Audio setting or Angle setting cannot be changed, or the TITLE menu or DVD menu will
not be displayed.
• Regardless of whether playback has been activated or not, when the player is operating,
do not open the tray of the DVD drive by sliding the disc EJECT button (located over the
touch pad).
• If MPEG files (MPEG 1) can not be played as described here (Q*page 13), try playing the
files with another application such as ActiveMovie, etc.
