When the other VCR has aS
VIDEO connector, use the S
VIDEO conneting cable. This
connection gives you a higher
quality picture than using the
video cable.
When connecting the VCRs,
do not connect both LINE IN
and LINE OUT jacks on your
VCRs simultaneously. Doing
so may cause a humming
noise.
To avoid deterioration of
picture quality, remember to
switch on the EDIT function of
the other VCR if the EDIT
function is provided with that
VCR.
if your playback VCR is a
monaural unit, connect the
white plug to LINE IN 1
AUDIO L or LINE IN 2 AUDIO
L on this VCR. This lets you
zacord the sound of the
playback VCR on both
channels of this VCR. Do not
connect the white plug to
LINE IN 1 AUDIO R or LINE
IN 2 AUDIO R.
When you use the VIDEO IN
jack and S VIDEO IN
connector at the same time,
the S VIDEO IN connector
takes priority.
Editing from the Other VCR
Here's how to edit from the other VCR (such as an 8mm video camera recorder or
a VHS-format VCR for playback) when using this VCR for recording.
You can use the jacks located on the front panel or rear panel to perform this
operation.
