KEYPAD DIRECT ENTRY
You can select the desired operating frequency or memory
channel by entering digits directly from the keypad.
m Frequency Entry
1 Press [VFO] to enter VFO mode.
2 Press the numeric keys in sequence on the keypad.
e Enter the digits in order from the most significant down
to the least significant.
e When the current step size is 5 KHz, 10 kHz, 15 kHz,
20 kHz, 50 kHz, or 100 kHz, make entry down to the
1 kHz digit. Enter either 0 or 5 for the 1 kHz digit.
Note:
{ff you do not make the next entry within 10 seconds, direct entry
is canceled and the previous frequency is restored.
@ Except for the 1 kHz digit, entering a digit that is outside the
allowable range causes the nearest digit within range to be
displayed. For the 1 kHz digit, pressing [0] ~ [4] selects "0" and
pressing [5] ~ [9] selects "5".
@ = When the current step size is 12.5 kHz or 25 KHz, entering the
10 kHz digit completes frequency setting. The 10 kHz and
subsequent digits are set according to which key is pressed for
the 10 kHz digit as shown in the following table.
m@ Memory Channel Number Entry
1 Press [MR] to enter Memory Recall mode.
e« The memory channel used last is recalled.
2 Press the numeric keys to enter a 2-digit memory
channel number.
e To recall channel 3, for example, enter "03".
« Ifyou enter a memory channel that does not contain
data, an error beep sounds.
Note: if you do not make the next entry within 10 seconds after
entering the first digit, the previous memory channel is restored.
